Desde finales del mes de diciembre y hasta finales de febrero la m\u00e1quina anfibia<\/strong> adquirida por la Fundaci\u00f3n Global Nature para el proyecto LIFE est\u00e1 trabajando de nuevo en el marjal de Pego-Oliva<\/strong> (Valencia), continuando as\u00ed sus trabajos de siega en varios humedales costeros del litoral de la Comunidad Valenciana. Las siegas comenzaron en el Prat de Cabanes-Torreblanca en Castell\u00f3n y continuaron en el Tancat de la Ratlla en La Albufera de Valencia. Estos trabajos se enmarcan dentro de la Acci\u00f3n C2 del proyecto LIFE Paludicola, denominada \u201cManejo de vegetaci\u00f3n mediante siegas\u201d.<\/p>\n

Durante estos meses la m\u00e1quina anfibia ha recorrido las zonas inundadas de estos marjales, cortando las ca\u00f1as y abriendo claros para favorecer el h\u00e1bitat del carricer\u00edn cejudo durante los pasos migratorios<\/strong>, pero tambi\u00e9n conservar la presencia de una comunidad de aves diversa y mantener las lagunas en su \u00f3ptimo estado de conservaci\u00f3n. Las siegas de la m\u00e1quina anfibia se centran en las formaciones de vegetaci\u00f3n palustre de los humedales objeto del proyecto, principalmente de carrizo que constituye la especie que m\u00e1s biomasa vegetal aporta, de modo que es cortado y posteriormente retirado del humedal.<\/p>\n

Estas siegas mediante m\u00e1quina anfibia en el marjal de Pego-Oliva han sido objeto de varias noticias en varios medios de comunicaci\u00f3n digitales y escritos del \u00e1mbito auton\u00f3mico de la Comunidad Valenciana:<\/p>\n
