You may click the link to switch the active language.<\/p><p>La acci\u00f3n del proyecto LIFE Paludicola de apostar por el ganado como herramienta para gestionar la vegetaci\u00f3n y crear h\u00e1bitats \u00f3ptimos para aves en peligro de se reforzar\u00e1 en Valencia con la compra de vacas de raza r\u00fastica para el pastoreo controlado, en concreto, en la Marjal de Pego \u2013Oliva. La acci\u00f3n de pastoreo controlado se realiza en lugares protegidos como este Parque Natural, incluido en la Red Natura 2000.<\/p>\n<p>Esta compra supone un refuerzo a una actividad tradicional que se est\u00e1 perdiendo en zonas naturales y consigue otros muchos beneficios: por un lado, protege a otras especies de aves amenazadas, como\u00a0el Bigotudo, la Buscarla unicolor o el Carricer\u00edn real, todas ellas aves insect\u00edvoras que ver\u00e1n aumentados sus recursos alimenticios, al atraer insectos a los excrementos de los animales. Por otro lado, fomenta la prevenci\u00f3n de incendios al controlar el crecimiento de la vegetaci\u00f3n herb\u00e1cea y arbustiva durante los meses que suponen mayor riesgo, a la vez que conserva desbrozadas las infraestructuras necesarias para la prevenci\u00f3n y extinci\u00f3n de incendios; por \u00faltimo, ayuda a fijar poblaci\u00f3n con la creaci\u00f3n de puestos de trabajo, ya que contribuye a mantener habitadas las comarcas rurales, lo que la convierte en motor para la econom\u00eda local.<\/p>\n<p>El a\u00f1o pasado ya se realiz\u00f3 pastoreo controlado con ganado ovino y caprino por las zonas que se hab\u00edan segado con anterioridad por <a href=\"https:\/\/carricerincejudo.es\/presentacion-de-la-maquina-anfibia-comienzo-de-los-trabajos\/\">la m\u00e1quina anfibia, comprada al inicio del proyecto<\/a>. Estas zonas se mantuvieron limpias de vegetaci\u00f3n hasta la siguiente temporada gracias al control del ganado creando zonas de aguas libres en el medio del denso carrizal.<\/p>\n<p>Ahora, con la entrada del ganado bovino se conseguir\u00e1 un mosaico ideal para las aves palustres ya que estos animales consiguen gestionar la vegetaci\u00f3n a diferentes alturas y crear claros m\u00e1s amplios ideales para aves como el Carricer\u00edn cejudo.<\/p>\n<p>El ganado se mover\u00e1 seg\u00fan las necesidades de gesti\u00f3n: a finales de primavera tras la \u00e9poca de nidificaci\u00f3n de las aves y cuando los niveles de agua empiezan a descender en la Marjal, el ganado se introducir\u00e1 de forma controlada en aquellas zonas en las que el carrizal haya sido segado previamente y la vegetaci\u00f3n est\u00e9 brotando. Los animales parar\u00e1n un tiempo determinado y posteriormente se cambiar\u00e1n a otra zona. Todo esto se har\u00e1 bajo la supervisi\u00f3n de la direcci\u00f3n del Parque Natural. En invierno cuando el nivel del agua comience a subir de nuevo, los animales se trasladar\u00e1n en trashumancia hasta la Vall d\u2019Ebo, donde se encuentran unas instalaciones acondicionadas para el ganado. De esta forma se recuperar\u00e1 el uso de v\u00edas pecuarias.<\/p>\n<p>Estos animales estar\u00e1n en disposici\u00f3n de trasladarse a alg\u00fan otro humedal que necesite un control de la vegetaci\u00f3n, ya que la idea es que estos animales sirvan como herramientas de gesti\u00f3n de estos h\u00e1bitats.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La destrucci\u00f3n del h\u00e1bitat, principal amenaza<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Estas acciones son muy importantes ya que el carricer\u00edn cejudo, como otras especies, es especialmente vulnerable a la alteraci\u00f3n de su h\u00e1bitat. Este peque\u00f1o p\u00e1jaro, de unos 13 cm de longitud y 10 gramos de peso, utiliza como lugares de nidificaci\u00f3n humedales con vegetaci\u00f3n baja y aguas someras. Las principales amenazas a las que se enfrenta, son la destrucci\u00f3n o alteraci\u00f3n de las zonas h\u00famedas (con una p\u00e9rdida en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os de un 60% de superficie), los cambios en su h\u00e1bitat y las constantes alteraciones de tipos de cultivos en los alrededores de las zonas h\u00famedas. Por ello, actuaciones como esta para asegurar que los h\u00e1bitats en los que descansa durante su viaje migratorio por la pen\u00ednsula ib\u00e9rica, son tan importantes.
