\u2500Abuelo, \u00bfqu\u00e9 escondes ah\u00ed detr\u00e1s?
El anciano la mir\u00f3 en silencio, sosteniendo el suspense. La ni\u00f1a hab\u00eda adivinado sus intenciones y \u00e9l disfrut\u00f3 de aquella demostraci\u00f3n de inteligencia infantil.
\u2500Llevo muchas cosas.
\u2500\u00bfMuchas cosas?
\u2500S\u00ed, muchas cosas.
\u2500\u00bfY qu\u00e9 cosas son?
\u2500Llevo vida. Tambi\u00e9n llevo un largo viaje de Bielorrusia a \u00c1frica. Llevo las ilusiones de muchas personas por salvar a una especie amenazada. Y llevo, en fin, sue\u00f1os que se hacen realidad con el esfuerzo de todos.
La peque\u00f1a abr\u00eda cada vez m\u00e1s los ojos y la boca, emocionada con cada frase de su abuelo.
\u2500\u00a1Quiero verlo!
El hombre extendi\u00f3 su brazo y la avis\u00f3:
\u2500\u00a1Atenta! Como toda ilusi\u00f3n y como la mejor magia, ser\u00e1 s\u00f3lo un momento.
Entonces abri\u00f3 la mano y apareci\u00f3 un carricer\u00edn cejudo. Este agit\u00f3 su cabecita, ubic\u00e1ndose, y ech\u00f3 a volar mientras la peque\u00f1a daba enormes saltos de alegr\u00eda alrededor de su abuelo<\/p>\n

La oscuridad era lo \u00fanico que conoc\u00eda. El instinto de supervivencia inund\u00f3 mi sistema nervioso y me hizo avanzar. Sab\u00eda que ten\u00eda que salir de all\u00ed. Hab\u00eda llegado la hora.
Uno. Dos. Doce. Veintitr\u00e9s. Finalmente, un crujido abri\u00f3, literalmente, un mundo nuevo. La luz ba\u00f1\u00f3 mi universo. Comenc\u00e9 a ver unas sombras ovaladas a mis lados. Sali\u00f3 animado para enfrentarse a la jornada de trabajo buscando metal en el desierto. Embuti\u00f3 su cuerpo enjuto en el mono gris, se puso las botas, los guantes y el casco herm\u00e9tico que le proteg\u00edan de los cincuenta grados y de la radiaci\u00f3n, y sali\u00f3 a la intemperie arenosa.<\/p>\n

Camin\u00f3 once horas al sol, sosteniendo con brazo firme su detector a la distancia id\u00f3nea de tres cent\u00edmetros del suelo. A la espalda cargaba la espuerta donde recog\u00eda los trozos de metal que desenterraba. Aquella zona estaba ya muy rebuscada, y al final del d\u00eda volvi\u00f3 a su casa con muy pocas piezas tintineantes. Lo extraordinario<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Siempre pens\u00f3 que la poes\u00eda est\u00e1 al alcance de cualquiera que se detenga un instante a fijarse en lo cotidiano. Que encontrar belleza en un charco despu\u00e9s de la tormenta ten\u00eda mucho que ver con la emoci\u00f3n profunda que se siente despu\u00e9s de leer un poema que, sin hablar de ti, habla de ti. Aseguraba que su inter\u00e9s por todo lo que lo normal tiene de extraordinario hab\u00eda ido creciendo a la par que su afici\u00f3n al pajareo. Cuando dej\u00f3 de decir \u00abmira ese p\u00e1jaro\u00bb para decir \u00abmira esa abubilla\u00bb, por ejemplo, empez\u00f3 a reconocer todos los mundos que se abr\u00edan ante ella.<\/p>\n

Por eso, esa ma\u00f1ana de paseo en la laguna de La Nava supuso para ella un regalo, otra cosa m\u00e1s que agradecer al verano que se desvanec\u00eda ya, dulce y generoso, dejando paso a otras luces. Donde otros habr\u00edan visto un pajarillo anodino, ella vio un viajero infatigable. Cuando algunos nunca llegar\u00edan a interesarse por su nombre, ella lo sabore\u00f3: \u00abcarricer\u00edn cejudo\u00bb, diecis\u00e9is letras, m\u00e1s que los gramos que pesaba, nombrando a la perfecci\u00f3n a ese visitante extraordinario. Aguz\u00f3 el o\u00eddo, alz\u00f3 sus prism\u00e1ticos y se dej\u00f3 llevar, una vez m\u00e1s, por la poes\u00eda del descubrimiento.<\/p>\n

El proyecto Life Paludicola act\u00faa sobre estos h\u00e1bitats favoreciendo la regeneraci\u00f3n natural y mejorando los espacios utilizados por el carricer\u00edn cejudo (Acrocephalus paulicola<\/em>) en su paso migratorio. Este carricer\u00edn es el ave m\u00e1s amenazada de Europa y su supervivencia radica en el buen estado ambiental de los ecosistemas de donde se abastece en su paso migratorio.
