Durante el mes de marzo de 2021, en la comarca de La Mancha, el equipo Fundaci\u00f3n Global Nature\/LIFE Paludicola ha llevado a cabo una serie de plantaciones destinadas a mejorar el entorno forestal de las zonas afectadas por el proyecto y la revegetaci\u00f3n de entornos perilagunares<\/strong> en el marco del proyecto LIFE Paludicola y con el objetivo de incentivar la recuperaci\u00f3n de la laguna y fomentar las zonas de refugio en la misma. Para ello hemos contado con personal propio y contrataciones de empresas locales, as\u00ed como de voluntarios y colaboraci\u00f3n de los Ayuntamientos implicados en el proyecto.<\/p>\n

Estas acciones se han llevado a cabo en Mota del Cuervo, en la Laguna de Manjavacas <\/strong>el 4 de marzo, con la plantaci\u00f3n de 116 Tamarix canariensis<\/em>, con objeto de aumentar la densidad del bosquete pr\u00f3ximo al observatorio de la laguna y que sirva como pantalla visual para disfrutar de la observaci\u00f3n de las aves causando el menor disturbio posible, siempre en zonas de uso p\u00fablico y fuera de la cubeta lagunar para no modificar la vegetaci\u00f3n propia de los humedales y sum\u00e1ndose a los beneficios que aportan los ecosistemas forestales a los entornos lagunares.<\/p>\n

Trabajos de plantaciones en la laguna de Manjavacas.Trabajos de plantaciones en la laguna de Manjavacas.Trabajos de plantaciones en la laguna de Manjavacas.En la laguna de Villafranca de los Caballeros <\/strong>el 3 de marzo, las plantaciones se han localizado en los m\u00e1rgenes del caz, con fines protectores y mejora de la infraestructura hidrol\u00f3gico-forestal, reforzando con 100 Tamarix gallica<\/em> la protecci\u00f3n frente a la erosi\u00f3n y favoreciendo la reducci\u00f3n de vegetaci\u00f3n heli\u00f3fila en el cauce.<\/p>\n

Trabajos de plantaciones en la laguna de Manjavacas.Trabajos de plantaciones en la laguna de Manjavacas.Tambi\u00e9n en esta localidad, se ha colaborado en un taller medioambiental<\/strong> que el Grupo de Voluntariado Ambiental de Las Lagunas coordinaba para la conmemoraci\u00f3n del D\u00eda Internacional de los Bosques<\/strong>. Se plantaron un total de 25 Tamarix gallica<\/em> en sustituci\u00f3n de \u00e1rboles muertos y para reforzar el per\u00edmetro forestal situado en la zona interlagunar. En la misma actividad se plantaron 48 albardines (Lygeum spartum<\/em>) en las praderas salinas del mismo enclave, entre la Laguna Grande y la Chica. As\u00ed, el d\u00eda 20 de marzo un total de 20 voluntarios de diferentes edades fueron los encargados de plantar y regar estas especies, as\u00ed como de tareas de limpieza de residuos en el per\u00edmetro de las lagunas.<\/p>\n

Estos trabajos se han realizado un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s de lo previsto debido a la situaci\u00f3n sanitaria provocada por el covid-19, que provoc\u00f3 su retraso. Adem\u00e1s, la planta comprada en marzo de 2020 sufri\u00f3 los estragos del temporal de nieve de la borrasca Filomena en enero 2021. Este evento destruy\u00f3 gran parte de la planta almacenada en el vivero de la FGN y se tuvo que volver reponer. Todos estos trabajos se enmarcan dentro de la Acci\u00f3n C.4 del proyecto LIFE Paludicola, denominada \u201cPlantaciones y revegetaci\u00f3n\u201d.<\/p>\n
