Este a\u00f1o 2021 el grupo de humedales del LIFE Paludicola que entre sus acciones contaban con el control de la vegetaci\u00f3n mediante pastoreo contin\u00faan recibiendo ganado. <\/strong>Gracias a los acuerdos ganaderos firmados a\u00f1os anteriores se favorece las pr\u00e1cticas agro-ganaderas tradicionales, como es el pastoreo con ovejas y vacas en los espacios naturales de la Red Natura 2000 de la Comunidad Valenciana y Castilla y Le\u00f3n. Estos trabajos se enmarcan dentro de las acciones de conservaci\u00f3n del proyecto LIFE Paludicola: Acci\u00f3n C1, denominada \u201cManejo de la vegetaci\u00f3n mediante pastoreo controlado\u201d.<\/p>\n

En Castilla y Le\u00f3n<\/strong>, en marzo de 2021, un reba\u00f1o de 310 ovejas zamoranas de carne que incluyen 31 ovejas compradas para aumentar un reba\u00f1o de un ganadero local han comenzado a pastar las 133 ha de las zonas de pastos de un sector de la laguna de Fuentes de Nava<\/strong> denominado Cantarranas y perteneciente a la zona de uso ganadero de este humedal de Tierra de Campos. Esta zona de la laguna es la m\u00e1s favorable para el carricer\u00edn cejudo tanto por la fisionom\u00eda de la vegetaci\u00f3n palustre como por los niveles de encharcamiento que se dan en agosto, justo el momento que la laguna es utilizada durante la migraci\u00f3n del cejudo.<\/p>\n

En la Comunidad Valenciana<\/strong> son tres los humedales que cuentan con la acci\u00f3n de pastoreo. El Prat de Cabanes-Torreblanca<\/strong>, en Castell\u00f3n, recibi\u00f3 el 13 de diciembre de 2020, despu\u00e9s de tres d\u00edas trashumancia, las 50 vacas del ganadero Fernando Robres procedentes de Vistabella del Maestrat, en pleno Parque Natural de Penyagolosa; se trata de vacas de carne en ecol\u00f3gico que permanecer\u00e1n en el Prat el invierno y la primavera.<\/p>\n

En el caso del marjal del Moro<\/strong> son 900 ovejas las que pastan desde el 12 de abril varias zonas de este humedal valenciano. En el marjal de Pego-Oliva<\/strong> a las 28 vacas compradas con el proyecto hay que sumar 12 becerros nacidos en 2020 y otros 5 nacidos hasta abril en 202, m\u00e1s las 900 ovejas, las que vuelven a pastar varios sectores de este marjal y contribuyendo as\u00ed a un importante control natural de la vegetaci\u00f3n en este humedal valenciano-alicantino.<\/p>\n

Con esta acci\u00f3n se apoya por un lado a los ganaderos-pastores y se favorecen las pr\u00e1cticas agro-ganaderas tradicionales, importantes para mantener esta actividad econ\u00f3mica. <\/strong>Pero al mismo tiempo los pastoreos facilitan la creaci\u00f3n de espacios abiertos frente a masas de vegetaci\u00f3n palustre densa y controla el desarrollo masivo de carrizo. De este modo adecuan el h\u00e1bitat para que lo ocupen una mayor variedad de especies de flora y fauna, se favorece as\u00ed una mayor biodiversidad y sobre todo se favorece al ave paseriforme m\u00e1s amenazada de Europa, el carricer\u00edn cejudo,<\/strong> que descansa y se alimenta en este tipo de h\u00e1bitat m\u00e1s heterog\u00e9neo en su viaje migratorio.<\/p>\n

Recordad que el LIFE Paludicola est\u00e1 desarrollado por Fundaci\u00f3n Global Nature y Junta de Castilla y Le\u00f3n, cuenta con el apoyo del instrumento financiero LIFE de la Uni\u00f3n Europea, de la Fundaci\u00f3n Biodiversidad, del Ministerio para la Transici\u00f3n Ecol\u00f3gica y el Reto Demogr\u00e1fico, la Conselleria de Agricultura, Medio Ambiente, Cambio Clim\u00e1tico y Desarrollo Rural de la Generalitat Valenciana, el Ayuntamiento de Torreblanca (Castell\u00f3n), la empresa Infertosa y Santander Consumer Finance a trav\u00e9s de su Programa de Tarjeta Ecol\u00f3gica \u201cHazte ECO\u201d. Tambi\u00e9n colabora la Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha.<\/p>\n
