The LIFE Paludicola project aims to halt the decrease of the populations of Aquatic warbler (Acrocephalus paludicola), the most endangered passerine bird in Europe, through the habitat restoration for the Spring and Autumn migration.

These actions will be carried out during the period 2017-2020 in 12 municipalities within three Spanish autonomous regions (Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León and the Community of Valencia), all of which are included in the Natura 2000 Network. This initiative is co-financed by the European Union LIFE Programme, whose partners include Fundación Global Nature and the Junta de Castilla y León.
